NH3 Sensor Based on ZIF-8/CNT Operating at Room Temperature with Immunity to Humidity

Humidity effects on resistive gas sensors operating at room temperature remain a serious bottleneck. In this work, we introduce sensor based zeolitic imidazolate framework-8/carbon nanotube (ZIF-8/CNT) composite for the detection of ammonia temperature. The was prepared using facile solution method. sensor, basic mechanism charge transfer between molecules and CNTs; meanwhile, ZIF-8 facilitated adsorption as preconcentrator, prevented H2O due to its hydrophobicity; CNTs were threaded through form great conductive network transfer. obtained showed good sensing, especially temperature, with selectivity immunity humidity under moderately humid conditions (45–70 % RH). However, response reduced very high (90% RH) competitive molecules. This proved that NH3 ZIF-8/CNT could be suitable practical applications conditions.
